Frequently Asked Questions
"What do you do?"
We provide a range of support through in-home, email or phone consultations.
After you have submitted an online enquiry, we will contact you to gather a little more information
about your child and the sleep issues you wish to address - all done completely without judgment.
We will book a time and date which is convenient for you, and you will be sent a digital booklet
with rates, and your booking details. From there you will receive a detailed sleep assessment
tailored to your situation. Depending on your unique situation, another appointment
may be made so we can continue to support you in your sleep training.
Follow up phone calls and support is provided throughout the process.
"What kind of parents do you work with?"
We work with any parent who wishes to receive support for their child's sleep.
If you value your sleep and your child's sleep (whether you're a first time parent or not) whatever
the situation,Yarra Valley Sleep Consultant is here to help!
"Will I have to let my baby cry it out?"
Our approach is to teach techniques to settle your baby with as little tears shed as possible.
You will never have to do anything you don't feel comfortable doing and
we will guide you to find the way that best suits you and your baby.
"Will I need to stop breast-feeding?"
Absolutely not! We will always support parents on their breast-feeding journeys.
"Can I still get sleep training if I wish to continue co-sleeping?"
Yes you can! You may want to think about what sleep issues you would like to overcome first before
seeking support. If you think the sleep issues are related to co-sleeping,
then it is possible that sleep training may not be effective for you and your family.
"Can my approach to parenting be respected during the process?"
Of course, we respect that everyone has a different approach to parenting that works for them.
Our aim is to empower and educate families in a way that is respectful of their own values and beliefs.
"Does my child have to sleep in their own bedroom?"
Absolutely not! If they are sharing a room with others, sleep training can still be effective.
